The Arizona Airports Association<\/a> (AzAA) recognized outstanding individuals and achievements within the aviation industry at its Annual Spring Conference in March. Held in Prescott, Arizona, the event honored key leaders who have made significant contributions to the state\u2019s airports, aviation operations, and overall industry excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew Munden Awarded AzAA President\u2019s Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Matthew Munden, Aeronautics Group Manager at the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), received the prestigious AzAA President\u2019s Award. Outgoing AzAA President Ed Rose (Sedona Airport) presented the award, recognizing Munden\u2019s critical role in defending the Aviation Fund and his ongoing commitment to airport collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMatt was instrumental in connecting me with the right ADOT staff to acquire accurate data critical for positioning in defense of the Aviation Fund. His expertise, responsiveness, and steadfast support of Arizona airports have been invaluable,\u201d said Rose during the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Reffner Honored with AzAA President\u2019s Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

David Reffner, Airport Manager at Grand Canyon National Park Airport, was likewise awarded the AzAA President\u2019s Award for his dedicated leadership as chair of the Legislative Committee. Rose acknowledged Reffner\u2019s vigilance in monitoring state legislation impacting airports and his strategic efforts to improve AzAA\u2019s visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDavid\u2019s passion for Arizona airports has been essential to strengthening the association\u2019s advocacy efforts. His awareness of proposed legislation and commitment to keeping AzAA informed made a significant impact during my presidency,\u201d Rose remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this recognition, AzAA highlighted Demory\u2019s exemplary leadership in airport operations and her steadfast commitment to advancing aviation across Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
