Outgoing Chair Jim Hauslein made the announcement in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aopa.org\/news-and-media\/all-news\/2026\/march\/20\/aopa-chairman-reports-change-of-command\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.aopa.org\/news-and-media\/all-news\/2026\/march\/20\/aopa-chairman-reports-change-of-command\">open letter<\/a> to AOPA members.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"401\" height=\"495\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Luke-Wippler.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34568\" style=\"width:160px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Luke-Wippler.jpg 401w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Luke-Wippler-243x300.jpg 243w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 401px) 100vw, 401px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Luke Wippler<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cLuke combines strong business acumen with a deep passion for aviation and represents the next generation of AOPA leadership,\u201d said Hauslein. \u201cThe board strongly believes he is the right leader to guide AOPA\u2019s next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wippler, who joined the Board of Trustees in 2015, is a private pilot with multi-engine instrument and single-engine seaplane ratings, with experience across a wide range of aircraft.
