John Eagerton, Chief of the Alabama Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Bureau, brought to our attention a recent article in \"\"Twin & Turbine magazine’s June issue about the state of Alabama’s use of a Cessna Caravan in its environmental monitoring and enforcement program of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. "I think it is a good example of how states can efficiently and effectively incorporate the use of general aviation aircraft into a vital state function that is not directly related to people moving," said Eagerton. <\/p>\n

The article, titled "Defending the Environment from the Air," says that for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, aviation is key to keeping a watcful eye for enviornmental problems.
