The Oregon Department of Aviation (ODAV) has announced the completion of the Runway and Electrical Rehabilitation Project at Siletz Bay State Airport (S45).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project included resurfacing the aging north two-thirds of the runway and repairing low pavement sections on the south end, as well as replacing the airport\u2019s nearly 40-year-old airfield electrical system. The final pavement markings were applied in October, marking the official completion of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These upgrades will significantly improve runway safety, visibility, and long-term durability, ensuring that Siletz Bay State Airport continues to operate safely and efficiently for pilots and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total project cost was approximately $2.2 million, with nearly $2 million funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and just over $200,000 funded through Aircraft Registration Revenue administered by ODAV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Siletz Bay State Airport serves general aviation, flight training, and coastal access operations, providing an important connection for recreational and business aviation along Oregon\u2019s central coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
