Zepher Flight Labs<\/a> (ZFL), now a key part of Heven\u2019s expanding U.S. operations, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to celebrate the opening of its new facility in downtown Bingen. The event drew community leaders, state officials, and industry partners to honor both ZFL\u2019s legacy and its future at the forefront of hydrogen-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) development.<\/p>\n\n\n

This milestone underscores not only ZFL\u2019s enduring legacy of engineering excellence in unmanned aerial systems but also Heven\u2019s drive to elevate sustainable, hydrogen-powered UAV development. The new facility at 317 W. Steuben Street will serve as a regional hub for advanced drone design, production, and integration\u2014advancing the Columbia River Gorge as a national center for unmanned systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis new site represents more than a new address\u2014it\u2019s a continuation of ZFL\u2019s remarkable journey and a bold step into the future,\u201d said Adam Stolz, CEO of ZFL. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to build on ZFL\u2019s foundation of engineering excellence and help accelerate the transition to hydrogen-powered flight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers at the event included Stolz, Bentzion Levinson (CEO & Founder of Heven), and Warren Brown (Heven Chief Marketing Officer). Attendees had the opportunity to tour portions of the new facility, view ZFL\u2019s Z1 Group 2 VTOL UAV, and speak with members of the engineering and leadership teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new location solidifies ZFL\u2019s role in supporting regional job creation and strengthening the local tech economy, while also advancing Heven\u2019s mission of sustainability and performance through hydrogen-powered platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klickitat County\u2019s economy has increasingly leaned on manufacturing\u2014especially drone-related activity\u2014to fuel growth. Between 2015 and 2018, manufacturing contributed 670 of the 920 net new jobs added to the county and remains a cornerstone sector.
