{"id":32666,"date":"2025-09-01T17:28:43","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T17:28:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=32666"},"modified":"2025-09-01T17:28:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T17:28:44","slug":"young-aspiring-aviators-now-receive-support-through-eaas-young-eagles-connect-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/aviation-education\/young-aspiring-aviators-now-receive-support-through-eaas-young-eagles-connect-portal\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Young, Aspiring Aviators Now Receive Support Through EAA\u2019s Young Eagles Connect Portal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Young people who are pursuing an interest in flight through the EAA Young Eagles program now have additional free support as they learn, thanks to the Young Eagles Connect portal that connects them with mentors who can offer encouragement and guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The support is available to all EAA Young Eagles who enroll in the complimentary Sporty\u2019s Learn-To-Fly Course that is available to all youth who complete a Young Eagles flight. It allows students to share their course progress with a mentor, such as their Young Eagles pilot or an EAA chapter member, so mentors can follow the young person\u2019s training journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe goal of Young Eagles Connect is to have aspiring aviators stay connected, stay inspired, and stay on course,\u201d said David Leiting, EAA Eagles Program Manager. \u201cThis connection is an added benefit to Young Eagles who look to discover more through EAA\u2019s programs that are available to follow their initial Young Eagles flight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mentors can view video progress and FAA practice test results through Sporty\u2019s CFI Portal. If the mentor is a CFI, they can create a <a href=\"https:\/\/courses.sportys.com\/training\/portal\/cfi\/home\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/courses.sportys.com\/training\/portal\/cfi\/home\">free account at sportys.com\/cfi<\/a> and will receive automatic access. Those who are not CFIs but want to mentor Young Eagles and track their progress can contact the Young Eagles office at EAA to request access to Sporty\u2019s CFI Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EAA Young Eagles Program has hosted more than 2.4 million young people for free flight experiences since the program\u2019s launch in July 1992.
