The two destinations have become EWN\u2019s #1 and #2 markets in passenger generation, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had a phenomenal first year with Breeze Airways,\u201d said Andrew Shorter, Airport Director. \u201cThe response has been outstanding, and it shows the strong community support and demand for new travel options from our region. Breeze\u2019s presence has opened the skies for more people in Eastern North Carolina.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"343\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Breeze-edit-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31765\" style=\"width:427px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Breeze-edit-3.jpg 700w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Breeze-edit-3-300x147.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Over the past 12-months, Breeze has offered over 55,000 arriving and departing seats on over 400 flight operations and provided affordable, convenient access to two of the region\u2019s most sought-after destinations, enhancing connectivity and boosting economic and tourism opportunities for Historic New Bern and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBreeze\u2019s mission is to add service between underserved or unserved cities, and that is exactly what we have done in New Bern,\u201d said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. \u201cWe\u2019ve continued to see great demand from EWN, and we\u2019re looking forward to what the future will bring.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers have embraced the airline\u2019s \u201cNice Low Cost Carrier\u201d model, which offers an elevated travel experience at an accessible price point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud to have Breeze as part of our growing network and excited about what the future holds,\u201d Shorter added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breeze Airways launched service in New Bern as its 50th market in May 2024.
