Sincock, II and Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Aviation at Garmin International Inc. Phil Straub have been named to the association\u2019s Advisory Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNBAA is excited to welcome these leaders to the association\u2019s board and advisory council,\u201d said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. \u201cThey bring decades of experience not only in business aviation, but other sectors including finance, technology, sustainability and philanthropy to their work with NBAA, which will be invaluable to the association and industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"164\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Daniel-Baker.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31153\" style=\"width:111px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Daniel Baker<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Baker the founder of FlightAware, the global aerospace data company, served as CEO from 2005 until its sale to Raytheon Technologies in 2021. Currently, Baker is a technology investor and philanthropist, including service as a board member of the Smithsonian Institution\u2019s National Air and Space Museum. An aviation safety expert, Baker also serves on the Aspen Airport\u2019s Safety Task Force and was chair of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association\u2019s (GAMA\u2019s) Safety and Accident Investigation Committee. Baker is a pilot instructor who holds Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) commercial pilot and flight instructor certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"174\" height=\"186\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Kennedy-Ricci.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31152\" style=\"width:107px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Kennedy Ricci<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Ricci launched 4AIR in 2020 to make it easier and more accessible for organizations and individuals to contribute to the industry\u2019s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 with support for comprehensive voluntary and regulatory sustainability programs. He is a commercial-rated general aviation pilot and aircraft flight instructor with a bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of Notre Dame. Ricci replaces Jetlaw Partner and COO Kali Hague, who had served as a Young Professional director on NBAA\u2019s board since April 2021<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joe-Barber-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31151\" style=\"width:106px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Joe Barber<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Barber leads commercial operations at Clay Lacy Aviation, ensuring the success of its service, sales and marketing initiatives across the company\u2019s aircraft management, jet charter, maintenance and FBO business units. Barber has chaired the NBAA Business Aviation Management Committee, which produces the NBAA Management Guide and the NBAA Leadership Conference. He is a board member for the Southern California Aviation Association. Sincock, II<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>As a member of Avfuel\u2019s executive team, Sincock focuses on next-generation aviation technologies, including strategic partnerships across the spectrum of sustainable aviation fuel pathways, as well as hybrid-electric power solutions. He spearheaded the development of AvfuelZero, the company\u2019s consultative arm for sustainable aviation operations, as well as a book-and-claim program aimed at broadening access to SAF. Sincock previously worked the energy desk at QVT Financial LP, a multi-strategy hedge fund in NYC. He is also the founding investor and senior strategic advisor at Kriya Therapeutics, a gene therapy company developing cures for chronic diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Phil-Straub.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31149\" style=\"width:110px;height:auto\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Phil Straub<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Straub oversees Garmin\u2019s aviation business segment and manages product development, flight operations, certification, sales, marketing, programs and support. Since joining Garmin in 1993 as an embedded software engineer, he has held a variety of positions, contributing to the development and success of Garmin\u2019s aviation business segment. In 2018, Straub served as GAMA board chair and has been serving alongside other industry leaders on the Drone Advisory Committee of the FAA.
