L to R: Timo Hyv\u00f6nen, Agust Gudmundsson, Gillian Rayner, President Greg Principato, Marina Vigorito, Mary Anne Stevens, Igor Erzen, Secretary General Markus Haggeney.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The 118th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fai.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.fai.org\/\">FAI<\/a> General Conference was held November19-21, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with 120 registered participants in attendance. The event, hosted by the Saudi Aviation Club (SAC), saw representation from 55 FAI Members and 14 FAI Commissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A significant highlight of the event was the election of Greg Principato as the new FAI President for a two-year mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"687\" height=\"837\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Greg-Principato-2-edit-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30288\" style=\"width:157px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Greg-Principato-2-edit-1.jpg 687w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Greg-Principato-2-edit-1-246x300.jpg 246w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Greg Principato<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"\">\u201cFAI is the oldest global air sports organization. It has a rich history \u2013 FAI history in many ways is the history of flight,\u201d said Principato. \u201cI am so excited and honored to have been chosen to lead FAI as President.
