Baum currently serves as an Officer with the Syracuse Hancock International Airport\u2019s police department and has been a valued contributor to the department\u2019s growth and success. Through his servant leadership approach, Justin has brought operational and administrative improvements to SYR during his short time with the department. In his new role as Airport Police Chief, Baum will collaborate closely with all SRAA departments to develop and implement strategic plans and policies to achieve SRAA goals and objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officer Baum has over 15 years of law enforcement experience, including as a US Army Military Police Captain, a Sergeant with the Cornell University Police Department, and an Investigator with the Dewitt Police Department, as well as being a small business owner. Justin holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in criminal justice, with minors in American history and military science and leadership from Rochester Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding his new appointment, Baum stated, \u201cI am deeply honored and excited to lead this incredible team of law enforcement and security professionals into a new era of service and community policing. Together, we will strengthen our efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of all travelers and staff while embracing innovation and forward-thinking approaches.
