Planes took off and landed on the runway as runners and walkers pushed themselves to complete the unique 5K.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-runway-run-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29619\" style=\"width:230px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-runway-run-2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-runway-run-2-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-runway-run-2-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-runway-run-2-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The community turned out in full force to support this beloved local event, which raises proceeds for deserving local nonprofits. There was AVL merch, food trucks, music and multiple photo ops adding to the festive atmosphere of the event and keeping with this year\u2019s theme of \u201cFly Vibes Only.\u201d 5K sponsors set up booths with goodies and information for participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">AVL would like to thank all of the sponsors of this event, including our top sponsors, the Global Elite group: Gresham Smith, Hensel Phelps, Hunter Subaru, Paradies Lagard\u00e9re and Signature Aviation. And, of course, we would like to thank the community for your support.
