March 2024 marked the busiest month at Tucson International\nAirport (TUS) in 16 years! With nearly 400,000 passengers flying TUS in March,\nthe airport has seen over 9% growth in year-to-date passenger counts compared\nto 2023. In addition, the Department of Transportation (DOT) announced airport\ngrowth statistics for the top 75 commercial airports in the country; it is no\nsurprise to see TUS on the list as the 4th fastest growing airport in the\ncountry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eight of the airport\u2019s nonstop destinations saw\nyear-over-year growth with Southwest airlines growing nearly 12%\nyear-over-year. Launching this fall, Southwest Airlines will begin daily\nnonstop flights to Dallas Love Field (DAL). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Five of the six airlines at TUS saw year-over-year gains in\nMarch, led by Southwest, Alaska, and American Airlines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passenger growth is forecast to continue. This upcoming\nsummer, we expect an additional 45,000 travelers to use TUS compared to last\nyear.
