This bill\nwould authorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and associated\nprograms through fiscal year 2028. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cState aviation officials are pleased to see a bipartisan,\nbicameral agreement on a FAA reauthorization bill,\u201d said Greg Pecoraro, NASAO\nPresident and CEO. \u201cWe are particularly pleased to see NASAO-backed provisions\nincluded in the compromise bill, including increasing investments in the\nnation\u2019s public-use airports, funding for the Essential Air Service and the\nSmall Community Air Service Development programs, recognizing the need to\nimprove the reliability of automated weather systems, establishing a grant\nprogram for state, tribal, and local governments to purchase and use drones to\nincrease infrastructure project efficiencies, and supporting the State Block\nGrant Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We commend the House and Senate Committee leadership and\ntheir staff for finding a way forward on this critical legislation.
