Credit: Hawai\u2018i Department of Transportation <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hawai\u2018i Department of Transportation (HDOT) is informing\ntravelers that beginning Sunday, April 28, TSA PreCheck at the Kahului Airport\nwill move to Checkpoint 1, which is next to the ticketing lobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Checkpoint 2, which currently screens TSA PreCheck\ntravelers, will serve as a general checkpoint when there is an overflow of\ntravelers. The change is to accommodate the increased enrollment of TSA\nPreCheck passengers. The new airport vendor will allow travelers who subscribe for\na fee to CLEAR, to use a dedicated line to verify their identity using\nbiometrics such as a scan of your eyes or fingerprint, instead of having to\nshow a government-issued photo I.D. Passengers will still need to be screened\nby TSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CLEAR will have a greeting area for its members across the\nwalkway in front of Checkpoint 1. The CLEAR Ambassadors will not approach\ntravelers outside of this greeting area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CLEAR is being provided as an optional service for\ntravelers, similar to vendors such as rideshare, taxi service, food and\nbeverage and retail services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo above &#8211; CLEAR kiosks at Checkpoint 2 at Kahului Airport.
