This was an increase of 29 percent compared to March 2023. It was also the second-best March reported in the 41-year history of the airport. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 25 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The traffic leader in March was Southwest with 278,639\npassengers. Rounding out the top five airlines were Delta (260,718), United\n(195,560), American (180,831) and Spirit (140,160).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southwest Florida International Airport had 11,621 aircraft\noperations; an increase of 25 percent compared to March 2023.
