In fact, that is one of the\nmany reasons I felt it vital to develop the Flexjet Innovation and Career\nCenter at Embry-Riddle in 2017 and why I am so eager to play a role in the\neducation of young aviators as a member of the Embry-Riddle board,\u201d Ricci said.\n\u201cOur companies \u2013 which employ 5,000 currently \u2013 and the overall aviation\nindustry continues to grow at a phenomenal pace. Sustaining that growth would\nnot be possible without a pipeline of young talent that is well educated and\ninspired.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a distinguished career spanning more than four decades,\nRicci brings a wealth of aviation industry expertise to Embry-Riddle. He is the\nfounder and principal of Directional Aviation Capital, a firm that owns and\ninvests in a wide range of aviation-focused businesses including Flexjet and\nits affiliates, FXAIR, a private jet charter company and Sentient Jet, a jet\ncard provider, SimCom Aviation Training which provides professional simulator\ntraining and REVA, an air ambulance company. An accomplished pilot in his own\nright, Ricci\u2019s aviation business interests also include maintenance, repair and\noverhaul (MRO) services, aircraft engineering, aircraft brokerage, aircraft\nmanagement and aviation sustainability initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKenn is second-to-none when it comes to deep understanding\nof the aviation business and a successful track record in the industry,\u201d said\nMori Hosseini, chairman of the Embry-Riddle Board of Trustees. \u201cHe will not only be an outstanding board member, but he shares\nour mission of molding the next generation of talent in aviation and aerospace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Embry-Riddle President P.
