Tom Cole (R-4-OK) as chair of the U.S. House of\nRepresentatives Appropriations Committee. He succeeds Rep. Tom Cole<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout his more than 20 years in Congress, Cole has\nfrequently stood with the general aviation (GA) community on several definitive\nissues, including championing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)\nreauthorization measure passed by the House in July 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRep. Cole has been a steadfast advocate for the vital role\nof GA and business aviation in facilitating a strong national aviation\nnetwork,\u201d said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. \u201cWe congratulate him on his\nappointment to lead the House Appropriations Committee and look forward to\nworking with him in the months ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A member of the House Appropriations Committee since 2009,\nCole served as committee vice chair, and chair of the House Transportation,\nHousing and Urban Development Subcommittee prior to being named chair of the\nfull committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cole\u2019s home state of Oklahoma is home to more than 100\npublic-use airports, which support thousands of jobs and more than hundreds of\nmillions in total annual economic activity and investment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes the appointment of Rep.
