The judging was\nconducted by representatives from: Aircraft Owners &amp; Pilots Association\n(AOPA) Foundation; Equus Flight Academy\/US Alt. Delegate to the FAI Education\nCommission; NAA; NASAO; Signature Flight Support; and the National Air &amp;\nSpace Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, NASAO received over 150 pieces of artwork\ndepicting peace in air sports from nearly half of the country\u2019s states and\nterritories. The annual contest is part of a larger international effort to\ninspire youth to illustrate the importance of aviation through art. Contest\nsubmissions were grouped into three separate age categories for judging\nallowing students ranging from 6 to 17 years old to compete. The 2024 theme was\n\u201cAir Sports for a Peaceful World\u201d which encouraged students to create artwork\ndemonstrating how air sports can bring people of different backgrounds\ntogether, forming friendships and making the world a better place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To qualify for the national contest, all artwork was first\nsubmitted to state-level competitions with the winning entries advancing for\nnational consideration. Judging on the national level was based on artistic\nability and portrayal of theme.
