Airports Council International (ACI) has named\nMinneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) as the Best Airport in North\nAmerica through its global passenger survey program. The achievement is for the\n25-40 million passenger category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This recognition marks the third straight year\u2014and seventh out of the last eight years\u2014that MSP has received the Airport Service Quality<\/a> (ASQ) program title. In addition, MSP is a member of the ACI World<\/a> Director General\u2019s Roll of Excellence following four straight years of Best Airport in North America awards between 2016 and 2019.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis award is particularly meaningful because our own\npassengers have chosen MSP for one of the industry\u2019s highest honors,\u201d said\nBrian Ryks, CEO of the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), which operates\nMSP. \u201cOur entire airport community works hard to deliver top-notch customer\nservice, and this latest award affirms our continued commitment to providing\nexceptional airport experiences for our travelers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 2023 ASQ Awards were based on 595,000 on-site traveler\nsurveys at 400 airports in 95 countries. The surveys cover 30 key indicators\nthat define a passenger\u2019s overall experience, including the ease of finding\ntheir way through the airport, check-in, security, cleanliness, shopping and\ndining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMSP’s streak of year-after-year ASQ awards is an impressive\nfeat that demonstrates the continuous pursuit to create services, amenities and\na total welcoming experience that has passengers eager to return to visit or do\nbusiness in Minnesota,\u201d said MAC Chair Rick King.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFlying through MSP isn\u2019t just transit; it\u2019s an experience\ncrafted with care,\u201d said Luis Felipe de Oliveira, director general of ACI\nWorld. \u201cSuccess in the Airport Service Quality Awards underscores the ability\nto make every passenger have a memorable and enjoyable airport journey.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n ACI ranks MSP as the 19th busiest airport in North America.\nMSP served 34.7 million passengers in 2023, an increase of 11% from the\nprevious year. In 2024, MSP\u2019s 18 commercial airlines will provide nonstop\nservice to 131 domestic and 32 international destinations.
