This remarkable occasion marks South\nCarolina as the only state in the nation to crown a &#8220;State Champion&#8221;\nfor simulated flight among high school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-AviCom-State-Champions-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27968\" width=\"304\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-AviCom-State-Champions-edit.jpg 600w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024-AviCom-State-Champions-edit-300x230.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 304px) 100vw, 304px\" \/><figcaption><em>2024 AviCom State Champions<\/em> <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Supported by industry leaders such as the National\nIntercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA), Aircraft Supplies and Academics\n(ASA), the University of South Carolina-Aerospace Engineering, Leadership in\nFlight Training (LIFT) Academy, and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics,\nAviCom continues to garner immense support, fostering a rich environment for\naviation education and career development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regional champions (based on congressional districts) along\nwith the Host School, At Large Bid, and the returning champions from the 2023\nAviCom, competed fiercely for the coveted state championship title. Amidst the\nintense competition, the spotlight shone brightly on the winners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The team State Champion for the simulated flight\nwas a Homeschooling group from Greenville County, supported by EAA Chapter 249.<\/li><li>Individual State Champions emerged in a\nremarkable tie between Katelyn B and Ethan M from Academic Magnet High School\nin North Charleston.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are proud to showcase South Carolina as a leader in\naviation education opportunities through AviCom,&#8221; remarked Robb Williams,\nExecutive Director of Triple Tree Aerodrome. &#8220;The partnership between\nGreenville Technical Charter High School and Triple Tree exemplifies how\nindustry can support events like AviCom to help develop future leaders not only\nin the aviation industry but in our community.
