The contest is open now\nthrough April 5, with winners announced May 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Age-group winners (categories listed below) received the\nfollowing awards\/recognition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First place winners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2648001383.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27867\" width=\"230\" height=\"334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2648001383.png 440w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2648001383-206x300.png 206w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 230px) 100vw, 230px\" \/><figcaption><em>2023 Winner<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Invitation to ride in an airplane<\/li><li>Copy of their artwork signed by our Governor<\/li><li>Congratulatory letter<\/li><li>Second place winners:<\/li><li>Receive $25 in art supplies<\/li><li>Congratulatory letter<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The rules are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Submit original artwork<\/li><li>Paper size must be 11\u201d x 17\u201d (Landscape\norientation)<\/li><li>Must be two-dimensional watercolor, acrylic or\noil, colored pencil, felt-tip marker, ballpoint<\/li><li>pen, pen and ink, and\/or crayon<\/li><li>Must have a completed Certificate of\nAuthenticity attached securely to the back of the piece of artwork (see link\nbelow for certificate)<\/li><li>No pencil, charcoal, collage, digital, or clip\nart<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Artwork Categories by Age:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Age Group I: 5\u20136 years old<\/li><li>Age Group II: 7\u20139 years old<\/li><li>Age Group III: 10\u201312 years old<\/li><li>Age Group IV: 13\u201315 years old<\/li><li>Age Group V: 16\u201318 years old<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners will also be featured in the 2025 Aviation Art\nCalendar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See the Entry Form under the \u201cSafety &amp; Education\u201d tab on the Aeronautics webpage at the ITD website or<a href=\"https:\/\/itd.idaho.gov\/aero\/?target=safety-education\"> this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Idaho students age 5-18 are encouraged to demonstrate their artistic skills under the theme \u201cCareers in Aerospace\u201d in the annual Aviation Art Contest through the Idaho Division of Aeronautics.
