{"id":27633,"date":"2024-01-20T18:02:38","date_gmt":"2024-01-20T18:02:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=27633"},"modified":"2024-01-20T18:02:40","modified_gmt":"2024-01-20T18:02:40","slug":"gama-applauds-european-parliaments-adoption-of-electric-aviation-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/international-news\/gama-applauds-european-parliaments-adoption-of-electric-aviation-report\/%20","title":{"rendered":"GAMA Applauds European Parliament\u2019s Adoption of Electric Aviation Report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During its recent plenary sitting in Strasbourg, the European Parliament adopted Erik Bergkvist\u2019s Own Initiative Report on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/doceo\/document\/A-9-2023-0438_EN.html\">Electric Aviation \u2013 a Solution for Short and Mid-Ranged Flights<\/a>.\u201d The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) praised the passage of the report which highlights the key policy and legislative measures needed to accelerate the development of electric aviation in Europe and showcases how it can ensure that aviation remains one of the most effective and efficient forms of transport in the decades to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe fully support the policy recommendations made in the\nreport which should serve as an important reference for the incoming European\nCommission. The report strongly emphasizes the need for more targeted public\nfunding by European Union Agencies and initiatives to help fund innovation and\nbring electric aviation products to market and develop the appropriate ground\ninfrastructure to support this emerging sector. The potential for these\nproducts to help green pilot training, and urban and regional air mobility is\nclearly recognised in the report,\u201d said Kyle Martin, Vice President, European\nAffairs, GAMA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GAMA, which represents most companies active in the field of electric aviation, looks forward to supporting the sector\u2019s ongoing work with European regulators and co-legislators to provide expert counsel to ensure electric aviation a staple of the future of aviation.
