{"id":27567,"date":"2024-01-08T22:07:44","date_gmt":"2024-01-08T22:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=27567"},"modified":"2024-01-08T22:07:45","modified_gmt":"2024-01-08T22:07:45","slug":"nata-promotes-berry-to-vice-president-of-education-and-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/nata-promotes-berry-to-vice-president-of-education-and-safety\/%20","title":{"rendered":"NATA Promotes Berry to Vice President of Education and Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NATA has announced a key leadership change with the\npromotion of Steve Berry to Vice President of Education and Safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"156\" height=\"200\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Steve-Berry-NATA-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27568\"\/><figcaption><em>Steve Berry<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSteve has contributed greatly to NATA&#8217;s success over the\npast several years, building on his wealth of industry knowledge to help\nadvance NATA\u2019s education and training programs as well as the overall safety of\nthe industry,\u201d stated NATA COO Keith DeBerry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steve Berry first served as NATA&#8217;s Training and Content\nManager before being promoted to Manager of Fuel Quality and Safety and most\nrecently to Managing Director of Safety and Training. In his new role as Vice\nPresident, Berry leads the strategic vision for and oversight of NATA&#8217;s\neducation and safety initiatives, including the Safety 1st Training Center and\nSafety 1st onSITE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berry also represents the interests of aviation businesses\nat industry meetings and hearings, serving on the Energy Institute&#8217;s Aviation\nCommittee, the ATA 103 Working Group, National Fire Protection Association&#8217;s\n(NFPA) 407 and 418 Technical Committees, the Aviation Insurance Association\nSafety Committee, NATA&#8217;s Safety Committee, and the Association\u2019s GA Fuel\nHandling Subcommittee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Berry is instrumental in working with industry partners to develop and promote safe fueling practices under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nata.aero\/education-and-training\/misfueling-prevention-program.aspx\">www.preventmisfueling.com<\/a>, Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE), and other initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am proud to serve with the NATA Executive team in\nfurthering the Association\u2019s collaboration with talented aviation business\nleaders and allied groups to foster the leadership of our member organizations\nin evolving general aviation safety and education,\u201d stated NATA Vice President\nof Education and Safety Steve Berry.&nbsp; \u201cI\nlook forward to continuing to improve our current Safety 1st training program\nofferings, while working with our strategic partners to advance the use of data\nand technology in making the GA ramp a safer, smarter space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSteve leads by example, takes every opportunity to learn,\nand finds ways to share that knowledge for the greater good.
