Manzelli joins CAA from Senator Mitt Romney&#8217;s office where she served as Senior Advisor and Communications Director, advising on major policy initiatives including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Brianna brings 10 years of experience working in Congress and the Administration on key aviation initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her new role, Ms. Manzelli will be responsible for\nleading legislative policy on a broad range of issues for the air cargo\nindustry and representing CAA members before the U.S. Congress and other\ngovernment agencies. She will work closely with CAA members to advance\nlegislative priorities that ensure the safety, security, efficiency, and\nresiliency of this critical sector of the U.S. economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBrianna brings tremendous experience and a diverse\nprofessional network on Capitol Hill, in government agencies and across the\nindustry,\u201d said Lauren Beyer, CAA President. \u201cShe has a proven record of\nworking collaboratively across stakeholders and will be a great value to CAA\u2019s\nmembers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt a time when air cargo plays an increasingly important\nrole in the global economy, I am excited to join the CAA team and build on the\norganization\u2019s government affairs efforts,\u201d said Manzelli. \u201cI look forward to\nbringing my government experience and industry knowledge to bear on the issues\ncritical to the association and ensure its members\u2019 voices are heard in\nWashington.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining Senator Romney, Manzelli served as Assistant\nAdministrator for Communications at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)\nwhere she helped lead the agency\u2019s communications and policy strategy,\nincluding the Boeing 737 MAX recertification and the COVID-19 pandemic. She\nserved as Senior Advisor to the FAA Administrator in addition to being the\nagency\u2019s chief spokesperson. Prior to the FAA, Brianna held positions at the\nU.S. Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee under Chairmen Roger\nWicker and John Thune.
