Kevin Dillon, A.A.E., executive director of the Connecticut\nAirport Authority, was presented by AAAE Chair Perry Miller, A.A.E., I.A.P.,\nwith AAAE\u2019s Distinguished Service Award recently, one of AAAE\u2019s highest levels\nof recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dillon has served the nation’s airport community for nearly\n50 years. He has been active with AAAE throughout his career, becoming a member\nin 1994 and earning the distinguished Accredited Airport Executive designation\nin 2003. He is a member of the Policy Review Council and previously served as a\nmember of the national board of directors. In addition, he has been very active\nin the Northeast Chapter of AAAE, serving as president from 2004-2005 and on\nthe Past President’s Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Distinguished Service Award honors exceptional airport\nexecutives who have achieved outstanding accomplishments in their professional\nand personal lives. Respected leaders in their communities, recipients serve\nAAAE and its chapters, contribute to other aviation organizations and are\nactive participants in civic and community affairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In front of community leaders and colleagues at Bradley\nInternational (BDL) in Hartford, Conn., Miller noted that \u201cKevin’s legacy is\ndefined by an exceptional track record of achieving robust financial\nperformance at the airports under his stewardship, setting a standard of\nexcellence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHis ability to forge enduring partnerships with the FAA,\nairlines and the community and airport stakeholders showcases his exceptional\ntalent for collaboration and relationship-building,\u201d Miller added. \u201cKevin’s\ndedication and unwavering commitment to the aviation industry are exceptional.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dillon worked his way through the industry from the ground\nup gaining significant experience in every facet of airport management along\nthe way from his early years at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey\nto his leadership posts across the Northeast at Massport, Manchester-Boston\nRegional and the Rhode Island T.F. Green International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He joined the Connecticut Airport Authority eleven years\nago. \u201cThanks to Kevin’s leadership and with the significant growth experienced\nat the airport, BDL has placed in the top ten in Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’\nChoice Awards for the past six consecutive years and was recently named a\nTop-10 airport in USA Today’s best small US airport rankings,\u201d Miller noted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
