The\nU.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s Federal Aviation Administration has awarded\nnearly $57.6 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law grants in Fiscal Year\n(FY) 2023 for snowplows, de-icing equipment, and new or upgraded facilities to\nstore this equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t let snowy conditions stop aircraft from safely\nlanding and taking off. This funding will help keep airports operating this\nwinter and get passengers and cargo to their homes, families, vacations, and\nwork safely,\u201d said Associate Administrator for Airports Shannetta Griffin,\nP.E.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>View a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/airports\/2023_winter_weather_grants\">data visualization<\/a> of the airports receiving grants for winter weather preparedness.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately $17.7 million will be used to purchase snow\nremoval equipment, including:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$1,764,000 to Williston Basin International in\nNorth Dakota <\/li><li>$2,093,040 to Will Rogers World in Oklahoma&nbsp; <\/li><li>$1,316,990 to Bozeman Yellowstone International\nin Montana <\/li><li>$27.6 million is to develop de-icing facilities,\nincluding: <\/li><li>$608,752 to Helena Regional in Montana&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li><li>$570,878 to Capital Region International in\nMichigan <\/li><li>$1,981,683 to Missoula Montana <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>$12.2 million will construct and renovate buildings that\nhouse and maintain snow removal equipment, including: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$5,133,334 to Minneapolis-St. Paul\nInternational\/Wold-Chamberlain in Minnesota&nbsp;\n<\/li><li>$2,019,025 to Hays Regional in Kansas&nbsp; <\/li><li>$1,500,000 to Burlington International in\nVermont <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides $15 billion in\nairport infrastructure funding.  For FY 2023, another $2.89 billion has been\nmade available to U.S. airports around the nation.
