With 262 distinguished honorees inducted, it\nstands as the only Congressionally-chartered aviation hall of fame in the\nUnited States. A dynamic panel of over 130 aviation professionals from across\nthe nation constitutes the NAHF Board of Nominations. The duo brought products to\nmarket that revolutionized avionics, including the world\u2019s first fully\ncertified GPS receiver for instrument approaches, the G1000 glass-integrated\nflight deck, and inspired Garmin Autoland, the world\u2019s first certified\nautonomous system that activates during an emergency to safely land an aircraft\nwithout human intervention earning Garmin the prestigious Robert J. Her unwavering commitment has been instrumental in\nfostering gender diversity and empowering women in the aviation industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Col. Fredrick Gregory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Fredrick-Gregory.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26968\" width=\"99\" height=\"125\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>United States Air Force pilot, accomplished military\nengineer, distinguished test pilot, NASA astronaut, and former NASA Deputy\nAdministrator. One of the pioneering first three African-Americans to venture\ninto space, the first African-American to pilot a shuttle mission in 1985, and\nthe first to command a space mission in 1989.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(The late) Katherine Gobel Johnson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Katherine-Gobel-Johnson-894x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26969\" width=\"116\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Katherine-Gobel-Johnson-894x1024.jpg 894w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Katherine-Gobel-Johnson-262x300.jpg 262w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Katherine-Gobel-Johnson.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 116px) 100vw, 116px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>American mathematician, played an indispensable role in\nNASA&#8217;s early space exploration endeavors.
