This funding representing\nthe largest allocation in recent history because of passage of LB 138 and 727.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcements came during the Nebraska Aeronautics\nCommission Meeting held at the Fremont Regional Airport on October 20, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Projects approved for funding by the Nebraska Aeronautics\nCommission include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Basset, NE: Pavement Maintenance, $40,000<\/li><li>Bloomfield, NE: Complete Runway Rehabilitation,\n$1,523,610<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re happy to partner with our local airports to help\nsupport them in their critical functions.\u201d Said Jeremy Borrell, Director of\nAeronautics. \u201cWe understand the importance of these airports to the\ncommunities\u2019 agricultural productivity, economic development, healthcare access,\nand greater regional needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both projects are critical to preserving existing assets in\nNebraska\u2019s robust rural aviation system. The use of state funds will help both\nof these airports continue to serve their customers as they have for years to\ncome.
