By cutting\ndelivery time significantly, to roughly five minutes from the time orders are\nready, this new innovation is creating new growth opportunities for major quick\nserve restaurants (QSRs) and family-owned restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrex-food-delivery-NCedit2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26680\" width=\"244\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrex-food-delivery-NCedit2-1.jpg 378w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Flytrex-food-delivery-NCedit2-1-158x300.jpg 158w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 244px) 100vw, 244px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>With Autonomous Pickup, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flytrex.com\/\">Flytrex<\/a> drones can pick up orders from restaurants and retailers via dropdown wire and fly directly to customers\u2019 homes to deliver the goods, removing the human component from the delivery process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several of Flytrex\u2019s restaurant and retailer affiliates have already partnered with the company to realize this vision of a fully autonomous delivery process, including Unilever\u2019s The Ice Cream Shop, Papa Johns, Freddy\u2019s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, and Little Caesars, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the past few years, technology has helped make the rapid\ndelivery business an appealing market for all. Yet high fees charged by\nthird-party delivery services to both customers and business partners have\nturned a convenience into a splurge. Removing the middleperson from this\nequation allows for more affordable, efficient and sustainable delivery for\nall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis announcement is a testament to Flytrex\u2019s continued\ncommitment to a future of ultrafast delivery for everyone,\u201d said Yariv Bash,\nCEO and Co-Founder of Flytrex. \u201cWhat\u2019s so unique about this innovation is its\nreal potential to move the needle, with more and more businesses getting on\nboard with an undeniably seamless and cost-effective process. This upgrade is a\nhuge step forward in achieving our vision to provide drone delivery to the\nmillions of residents across suburban America.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The introduction of this industry-changing innovation comes\non the heels of a period of significant growth for Flytrex. Through the\nexpansion of their services in 2022, Flytrex\u2019s eligible customer base grew\nexponentially, from 40,000 eligible customers to 95,000 \u2013 a 138% increase.\nFlytrex is fully operational seven days a week and executes hundreds of\ndeliveries a day via drone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since launching the world\u2019s first autonomous drone delivery system in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2017, Flytrex has been working closely with regulators to get drone delivery off the ground. The company participated in the Federal Aviation Administration\u2019s (FAA) UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP), which concluded in October 2020, as well as the FAA\u2019s subsequent initiative, BEYOND.
