{"id":26586,"date":"2023-09-09T15:21:25","date_gmt":"2023-09-09T15:21:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=26586"},"modified":"2023-09-09T15:21:28","modified_gmt":"2023-09-09T15:21:28","slug":"intermountain-health-joins-the-acsfs-aviation-safety-action-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/news\/news-release\/intermountain-health-joins-the-acsfs-aviation-safety-action-program\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Intermountain Health Joins the ACSF\u2019s Aviation Safety Action Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ASCF.aero), a non-profit\norganization which supports the highest safety standards for more than 320\nbusiness, charter and fractional operators in the aviation industry, today\nannounced that four certificate holders owned and operated under the parent\ncompany Intermountain Health will participate in the ACSF\u2019s Aviation Safety\nAction Program (ASAP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Intermountain Health rotor wing companies include\nClassic Helicopter Group, LLC, in Woods Cross, Utah; Classic Aviation Services,\nLLC &#8211; dba Classic Air Medical, based in North Salt Lake, Utah; Classic Service\nCenter, LLC \u2013 dba Helicopter Services of Utah, in Woods Cross, Utah, and IHC\nHealth Services, Inc. dba Intermountain Life Flight, based in Salt Lake City,\nUtah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kent Johnson, director of operations for Intermountain Life\nFlight, expressed his enthusiasm for all four companies\u2019 participation in the\nASAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Safety is the foundation of everything we do,\u201d Johnson\nsaid. \u201cWe are thrilled to be part of this FAA safety program that aligns so\nseamlessly with our core values. It really speaks to our dedication to\nmaintaining the highest safety standards for our patients, flight crews and the\ncommunities we serve.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ASAP is a voluntary, self-reporting program that enables\nparticipating companies to identify and reduce possible flight safety concerns,\nas well as to mitigate risk. In cooperation with the FAA, the ACSF serves as a\nthird-party manager of the ASAP for its members, including rotor wing\noperators, on-demand charter operators, fractional operators and corporate\nflight departments. The ACSF\u2019s members represent more than 67 percent of all\nparticipating organizations in the ASAP program (including airlines).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intermountain Health\u2019s ASAP participation is a direct\nbenefit of its membership in Helicopter Association International (HAI), an\nAlexandria, Virginia-based organization that provides support and\nsafety-related services for the international helicopter community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we enter this new chapter of collaboration with the Air\nCharter Safety Foundation and the FAA, we\u2019re poised to learn from the\ninvaluable insights and shared experiences of other industry leaders,\u201d noted\nKory Hale, director of operations for the Classic Helicopter Group, LLC (dba:\nClassic Air Medical). \u201cOur participation in the ASAP program not only\nreinforces our commitment to operational transparency, but also underlines our\ncontinual drive to set new benchmarks in air medical transportation safety.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACSF\u2019s President &amp; CEO Bryan Burns is delighted that the\nASAP is being extended to aviation organizations of all sizes and missions,\nincluding helicopter certificate holders. \u201cThere\u2019s no doubt that these four\norganizations remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence, and their\ndecision to join the Aviation Safety Action Program signifies an unwavering\ndedication to fostering a safer and more secure air charter service for their\nclients, patients and partners,\u201d Burns said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To learn more about the Aviation Safety Action Program for HAI members, and\/or to submit an interest form, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/rotor.org\/resources\/asap\/\">rotor.org\/resources\/asap\/<\/a>.
