We hope that the essential\nsupplies shipped, and our passenger charter flights provide comfort and relief\nfor citizens who relocated temporarily for shelter,\u201d expressed Jim Petrides,\nPresident at Kamaka Air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When news broke of the devastation in Maui, Kamaka Air\nreceived donations from over 41 contributors, such as the Hawaii Veterinary\nMedical Association, Hawaiian Humane Society, N\u00c4\u0081 Kama Kai, Ka Oni Canoe Club,\nHawai&#8217;i State Teachers Association, United Public Workers, RevoluSun, and the\nFour Seasons Resorts among others. The collective effort of these organizations\ndemonstrates the spirit of unity across the region in times of hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe recognize our donors and community heroes, such as\nArchie Kalepa, a world-renowned waterman, surfer, and retired lifeguard who,\nwith his team of volunteers, responded quickly to the needs of the Lahaina\ncommunity and provided much-needed medical supplies, essentials, and\nlife-sustaining food to those in need. His immediate response to the disaster\nsaved hundreds of lives in Lahaina,\u201d stated Joelle Aki Aoki, Government Affairs\nOfficer and Lana\u2019i Station Manager at Kamaka Air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the Lahaina community seeks to rebuild and restore Maui,\nKamaka Air&#8217;s actions underscore its dedication to supporting neighboring\ncommunities and alleviating distress during crises.
