Swedish electric airplane maker Heart Aerospace has announced\nSimon McNamara as its Director of Government and Industry Affairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With more than 25 years of experience in aviation public\naffairs, much of it focused around the regional airline sector, Simon brings\nconsiderable advocacy expertise to Heart. For the past five years Simon has\nbeen leading advocacy efforts in the UK and Ireland for the International Air\nTransport Association (IATA) with much of the work focused on sustainability\nissues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before his role at IATA, Simon was Director of\nCommunications at the UK regional airline Flybe and prior to that, he spent 19\nyears in EU affairs culminating in a term as Director General of the European\nRegions Airline Association. Simon also spent time early in his career with\nIFALPA, the global pilot association, focused on ICAO matters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
