Scholarship. NASAO congratulates Benjamin Parham of Elizabeth City\nState University (Surf City, NC), Tanner Bowman of Purdue University\n(Trafalgar, IN), and John Laing of Purdue University (Milford, OH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Henry-O.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21767\" width=\"156\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Henry-O.jpg 316w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Henry-O-217x300.jpg 217w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 156px) 100vw, 156px\" \/><figcaption><em>Henry Ogrodzinski<br>Photo by Kim Stevens<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>NASAO established the scholarship program in memory of\nHenry Ogrodzinski, who spent more than 17 years leading NASAO as its President\n&amp; CEO from 1996 to 2013. Ogrodzinski dedicated his life to higher education\nand academic achievement in aviation and aerospace. The scholarship program\nresides under the NASAO Center for Aviation Research and Education, the\nnon-profit arm of NASAO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe three individuals selected for this year\u2019s\nscholarship share a passion for aviation similar to that of Henry O.,\u201d said Mike\nMcHugh, Chair of the NASAO Center for Aviation Research and Education and\nAviation Education Coordinator of the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission. \u201cThe\nNASAO Center hopes that these scholarships will help the awardees achieve their\nprofessional goals and advance the industry through their future\naccomplishments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe future of aviation depends on a well-educated\nworkforce,\u201d said Greg Pecoraro, NASAO President &amp; CEO. \u201cNASAO is proud to\nhonor the memory of its longtime President Henry Ogrodinski by helping to\nensure bright young people with a passion for aviation are able to help make\nthat future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on the scholarship and application process, please visit NASAO&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/nasao.org\/\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) announced the names of three recipients for the 2023 Henry Ogrodzinski (Henry O.)
