The partnership\nsignifies the global aerospace and defense manufacturer\u2019s longstanding ties\nwith the airshow and the wider Gulf region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bahrain-Intl-Airshow-Lockhead-Martin-edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26263\" width=\"277\" height=\"257\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bahrain-Intl-Airshow-Lockhead-Martin-edit.jpg 710w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bahrain-Intl-Airshow-Lockhead-Martin-edit-300x279.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 277px) 100vw, 277px\" \/><figcaption><em> Pictured L-R: Yousif Mahmoud, Director General of the Bahrain International Airshow Craig Spyhalski, International Air and Show Trade Lead at Lockheed Martin. <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The contract was signed during meeting at the Paris Air Show\nby Yousif Mahmoud, Director General of the Bahrain International Airshow and\nCraig Spyhalski, International Air and Show Trade Lead at Lockheed Martin, in\nthe presence of His Excellency Mohamed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Bahrain\u2019s Minister\nof Transportation and Telecommunication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A relationship spanning decades, Bahrain was the first\ncountry in the region to adopt Lockheed Martin\u2019s F-16 aircraft for the Royal\nBahraini Air Force and in early 2023 became the first country in the world to\nreceive delivery of the first \u2018F-16 Block 70\u2019 fighter jet from the\nmanufacturer. Lockheed Martin has secured their presence at BIAS 2024 with a\nstand in the exhibition hall and dedicated chalet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organized by the Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and\nTelecommunications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force in association with\nFarnborough International, BIAS has been designed to reflect aerospace and\ndefense industry demands and will harness global expertise to provide crucial\nthought leadership and insight.
