{"id":26163,"date":"2023-07-22T01:19:51","date_gmt":"2023-07-22T01:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=26163"},"modified":"2023-07-22T01:19:52","modified_gmt":"2023-07-22T01:19:52","slug":"state-aviation-officials-applaud-house-passage-of-faa-reauthorization-bill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/state-aviation-officials-applaud-house-passage-of-faa-reauthorization-bill\/%20","title":{"rendered":"State Aviation Officials Applaud House Passage of FAA Reauthorization Bill"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/nasao.org\/\">National Association of State Aviation Officials<\/a> (NASAO) applauded the U.S. House of Representatives for passing H.R.3935, Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act, which would reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and related programs through fiscal year 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/pecoraro-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pecoraro-1.jpg 200w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pecoraro-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pecoraro-1-60x60.jpg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><figcaption><em>Greg Pecoraro<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNASAO is very pleased that the House has passed the\nSecuring Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act,\u201d said NASAO\nPresident &amp; CEO, Greg Pecoraro. \u201cThis forward-thinking legislation will\nprovide a strong basis for managing the nation\u2019s aviation system for the next\nfive years to increase safety, improve infrastructure, and successfully\nintegrate new technologies. We commend House Transportation and Infrastructure\nCommittee Chairman Sam Graves and Ranking Member Rick Larsen for their\nleadership in crafting a comprehensive, bipartisan bill. NASAO looks forward to\nSenate action on its own version of FAA Reauthorization, so that both bills can\nbe reconciled, and the FAA be authorized to continue and advance its important\nwork. The United States has always led the world in the aviation industry, and\nsecuring the status of the FAA is critical to continuing that leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill would increase investments in the nation\u2019s\npublic-use airports, especially for our general aviation airports which are the\nbackbone of our national aviation system.
