Last week, NATA member Joby Aviation announced that it had\nreceived a Special Airworthiness Certificate from the FAA for its first\nproduction-prototype eVTOL aircraft, allowing the company to proceed to flight\ntesting. NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna joined in the celebration, which\nincluded a tour of Joby\u2019s Marina Airport facility and flight demonstrations of\nits all-electric aircraft for commercial passenger service. \u201cNATA congratulates\nthe team at Joby Aviation on this tremendous achievement and appreciates their\nengagement with key industry and governmental participants at our Air Charter\nSummit on June 22 and as a member of our AAM Committee. Castagna also participated in an Advanced Air Mobility\nInteragency Working Group (AAM IWG) Executive Roundtable, where he shared AAM\nissues of critical importance to NATA\u2019s membership as well as the association\u2019s\nrecommendations for AAM national strategy. The Roundtable, held at the NASA\nAmes Research Center in Mountain View, CA, provided an important forum to\nhighlight the work of NATA\u2019s AAM Committee in helping to ensure a unified\napproach to the modernization of both the infrastructure and operational\nframeworks.
