Burns is now serving as both President &amp; CEO of\nthe Foundation. Additionally, the ACSF has hired its first-ever Executive\nDirector, Debi Carpenter, who will lead the organization\u2019s membership\ndevelopment, grant-writing and fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bryan-Burns-.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26064\" width=\"154\" height=\"200\"\/><figcaption><em>Bryan Burns<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis has been a transformational year,\u201d explained Weeber,\nwho had tasked Burns with a variety of strategic planning initiatives,\nincluding elevating the brand, nurturing the Foundation\u2019s relationship with\nEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University, optimizing the board of governors and creating\nnew services and program opportunities to serve the industry. \u201cAs a leader,\nBryan has accomplished everything we\u2019ve asked him to do,\u201d Weeber said. \u201cOne of\nhis biggest achievements last year was successfully transitioning the ACSF to\nAssociation Management Strategies, which provides a shared services model for\nour HR and accounting functions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Debi-Carpenter.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26065\" width=\"128\" height=\"164\"\/><figcaption><em>Debi Carpenter<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Weeber noted that the ACSF continues to to exceed its goals\nof advancing aviation safety while focusing on strategy, branding, innovation,\ninclusion and diversity, \u201cbut we still have a lot of work to do to get the next\ngeneration of Safety Practitioners energized and engaged,\u201d he said. \u201cThat means\nlaunching and executing some new and exciting programs.\u201d That effort, Weeber\nannounced, will be headed up by veteran business aviation professional Debi\nCarpenter, who will spearhead the new initiatives in a newly created leadership\nrole as the ACSF\u2019s Executive Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re growing,\u201d Bryan Burns noted, \u201cand we\u2019re thrilled to\nbring Debi on board to help ensure our resilience and scalability as a\nnonprofit organization. We want to continuously add value to the aviation\nsafety industry by offering even more robust safety resources,\u201d he added. \u201cDebi\nwill lead this effort by seeking grant support and creating sponsorship and\nadvertising opportunities for companies desiring to enhance safety, while\npromoting their brand to our 315-plus member companies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining the ACSF, Carpenter served as the Head of\nMarketing and Communications at Natilus, a leading Unmanned Aerial Vehicle\n(UAV) cargo manufacturer based in San Diego, California. During her tenure at\nNatilus, Carpenter played a key role in shaping marketing strategies, driving\nsales growth and fostering the development of the Natilus brand. Additionally,\nshe has held executive positions with prominent aviation organizations,\nincluding the Southern California Aviation Association and Eco Aviation\nInternational. At the latter, she served as Executive Director, driving growth\nand engagement within the aviation industry. A private pilot in the Cirrus\nSR20, and actively involved in the aviation community, Carpenter served as a\nboard member of Women in Corporate Aviation and member of the NBAA Local and\nRegional Leadership Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Going forward, the Foundation with continue its annual\nSafety Symposium and current roster of programs, which include Flight Data\nMonitoring, the SMS Tool, Industry Audit Standard and the Aviation Safety\nAction Program (ASAP).
