His business acumen,\ntechnological expertise and lifelong interest in general aviation have proven\nto be important assets,\u201d said Lt Thresher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lt. Henderson and his wife Kathy relocated to Vermont from\nWestern New York four years ago, to be closer to family. He had a career in\nenvironmental services spanning over 30 years, gaining experience in emergency\nresponse, waste management, and the transportation and handling of hazardous\nmaterials. He earned a private pilot certificate in 1995. A graduate of\nDartmouth College, Henderson also holds a Master\u2019s degree from the Simon\nBusiness School at the University of Rochester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI appreciate the opportunity to serve with the Civil Air\nPatrol,\u201d said 2nd Lt Henderson.\u201d The organization offers many opportunities for\npersonal growth.
