{"id":25851,"date":"2023-06-13T13:14:07","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T13:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=25851"},"modified":"2023-06-13T13:14:09","modified_gmt":"2023-06-13T13:14:09","slug":"washington-state-airports-manager-awarded-airport-manager-of-the-year-by-wama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/washington\/washington-state-airports-manager-awarded-airport-manager-of-the-year-by-wama\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Washington State Airports Manager Awarded Airport Manager of the Year by WAMA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>WSDOT Aviation Division State Airports Manager Paul Wolf has\nbeen awarded the Washington Airport Managers Association (WAMA) Airport Manager\nof the Year for 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Paul-Wolf.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25852\" width=\"202\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Paul-Wolf.jpg 488w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Paul-Wolf-216x300.jpg 216w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 202px) 100vw, 202px\" \/><figcaption><em>Paul Wolf<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a unanimous decision to select Paul Wolf as our\nrecipient of this year\u2019s Airport Manager of the Year Award,\u201d said WAMA\nExecutive Director Marjy Leggett. \u201cWe all see what he does, the way he\norganizes work parties, the traveling across the state, and the attention he\ngives to these remote air strips. As a member who does an outstanding job of\nmanaging more airports than any other airport manager in the state, he deserves\nrecognition. We are delighted to honor him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is given out once a year and voting members look\nfor someone who has stood out over time in doing a job above and beyond and\nshow leadership and consistency in the work they have done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wolf has been with WSDOT since 1996 and with the Aviation\nDivision since 2008. \u201cThroughout the years, Wolf has worked tirelessly to\nmaintain these small, often remote airports around the state,\u201d Leggett said.\n\u201cWe felt it was time he was recognized for the tremendous support he has given\nin keeping these small airports running. It was our way of saying thanks for\nall he does and letting him know how much we appreciate him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wolf said he was honored to receive the award and noted he\nwanted to recognize many of those who have helped him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t be prouder to have the honor and recognition\nfrom top aviation professionals and WAMA members,\u201d Wolf said. \u201cMy acceptance of\nthe award can only be justified by giving notice to all our volunteers from the\nWashington Pilots Association Chapters around the State, the Recreational\nAviation Foundation, Pilots and our Regional Maintenance Crews whom have stuck\nwith me through difficult pandemic times, our Real Estate, and Capital Program\nManagement and Development Offices, and the Aviation Division staff that help\nme on a daily basis to keep the State Managed Airports operational.
