May through August are the busiest months of\nthe year at the airport, with even higher traffic than the Thanksgiving through\nNew Year\u2019s holidays. Passenger traffic this summer could exceed the record\nnumber of guests RDU served during summer 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel Tips: You can be prepared for Memorial Day weekend\nand the summer travel season by following a few simple steps: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Download your airline\u2019s mobile app to check in,\nget information about your flight and manage your reservation. <\/li><li>Keep an eye on the weather in your departing\ncity and your destination. <\/li><li>Check your travel documents to confirm that your\npassport and IDs like your driver license haven\u2019t expired.&nbsp; <\/li><li>Read your airline\u2019s baggage policy before you\npack to make sure your carry-on bag will fit before you bring it on board. <\/li><li>Remember TSA\u2019s 3-1-1 rule or visit tsa.gov to\nfind out what items you can carry on and what should be packed in your checked\nluggage.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/li><li>Consider signing up for TSA PreCheck and\/or\nCLEAR\u2019s biometrics ID program for a faster and smoother experience at the\nsecurity checkpoint.
