Photos by ACT&#8217;s Karen Allen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n\n&nbsp; &nbsp;Fifty-seven students from Apex High School\u2019s Academy of Information Technology took part in a two-day immersion into all things aviation and STEM last week at Raleigh Durham International Airport.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mcusercontent.com\/e87f320d3afba63a319b38d2d\/images\/b5887b26-c23d-fe26-476e-750f60ad1f14.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Aviation Careers Technology (ACT) presented the two-day workshop to 57 students in the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Division of Aviation hangar.<br>\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Students received hands-on instruction on how to assemble a Stratux, an open-source portable ADS-B receiver using a Raspberry Pi.
