Bolden Jr., Matthew Jesch, and David Paddock have joined its Board of Trustees. Jesch will serve as the organization&#8217;s Treasurer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are delighted to have Charlie Bolden, Matt Jesch,\nand Dave Paddock join us as colleagues and look forward to their invaluable\ncontributions as we continue to advance our aviation education programs and\nprepare for our highly anticipated Annual Enshrinement Ceremony on September\n22, 2023, in Washington D.C. Their exceptional leadership and expertise in the\naviation industry will undoubtedly help us honor aerospace legends and inspire\nfuture leaders to make their own mark in this exciting field,&#8221; said Jim\nCooling, the NAHF\u2019s Board Chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Major-General-Charles-Bolden-254x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25645\" width=\"213\" height=\"252\"\/><figcaption><em>Charles F. Bolden Jr.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Major General Charles F. Bolden Jr., USMC (Ret.), a\ndecorated naval aviator, test pilot, astronaut, and NAHF Enshrinee, served as\nthe 12th Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration\n(NASA) from 2009 to 2017. Throughout his distinguished tenure at NASA,\nAdministrator Bolden forged innovative solutions and programs through\ngovernment and industry collaboration. He oversaw the transition from the Space\nShuttle system to a new era of exploration, the spectacular Mars Curiosity\nRover landing and created the Space Technology Mission Directorate. Bolden has\nreceived numerous military and civilian honors, including the Defense\nDistinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit,\nDistinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, NASA Exceptional Service Medal, and NASA\nSpace Flight Medal. He was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in\n2006 and the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 2017. Bolden serves today as\nFounder and CEO Emeritus of the Charles F. Since 2007, he has been chief financial officer of Tailwind\nTechnologies Inc., a holding company that owns five aviation related\nmanufacturing businesses, including the world\u2019s oldest aviation propeller\ncompany, Hartzell Propeller. Hartzell Propeller was founded in 1917 and traces\nits roots to the Wright Brother\u2019s first production airplanes. Matt recently transitioned\nto Executive Vice President to dedicate his effort to operations, strategy, and\nbusiness growth. Over his time with Tailwind Technologies, Matt has led or\nparticipated in over two dozen transactions that have helped further establish\nthe Hartzell brand of companies as a leader in general aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Tailwind Technologies, Jesch\u2019s background\nincluded serving as chief financial officer at NewPage Corporation, a $2.5\nbillion paper manufacturer, following years with the former Mead Corporation\nand MeadWestvaco Corporation. He successfully completed his CPA (not\nmaintained). Matt has been a member of numerous private operating boards. He is\nalso treasurer of Ghost Riders Capital LLC, a private equity oriented\nalternative investment vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matt and his wife Pam split time between their residences in\nDayton, Ohio and Kiawah Island, South Carolina. They have three grown\ndaughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am honored to join the National Aviation Hall of\nFame Board and to serve as its treasurer,&#8221; said Matt Jesch. &#8220;As a\nlongtime aviation business executive, I have always admired the NAHF&#8217;s\ncommitment to honoring the pioneers and innovators who have shaped our\nindustry. He is responsible for\noperations across some 50 global locations and five lines of business, including\nbusiness aircraft maintenance, completions, FBO, aircraft services and defence.\nPaddock was appointed SVP US regional operations in January 2015, where he was\nresponsible for Jet Aviation\u2019s US portfolio, including maintenance, FBO and\naircraft services. Paddock was previously SVP business development and\nstrategic planning, since joining the company in January 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Jet Aviation, Paddock served as VP and\nManaging Officer for SH&amp;E, specializing in business aviation strategy and\nmarket analysis, business planning, commercial aircraft fleet analysis,\nmaintenance, asset management, and appraisals. He supported numerous aerospace\nindustry transactions and acted as an expert witness in various legal\nproceedings. He joined SH&amp;E in May 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paddock served as Chairman of the General Aviation\nManufacturers Association (GAMA) in 2020 and remains active with many industry\norganizations including the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA),\nMiddle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), National Aviation Hall of\nFame and The Wings Club. He holds a US Private Pilot certificate, is an\nISTAT-certified aircraft appraiser and was recently accepted as a Fellow of the\nRoyal Aeronautical Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paddock holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental\nscience from Stockton University, graduating in July 19 89.
