The Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame announced that Mario\nRodrequez, Chief Executive Officer of the Indianapolis Airport Authority, will\nbe the featured speaker at the Hall of Fame\u2019s 2023 Honors Banquet on October 7,\n2023, in Carmel, Indiana. Eight outstanding individuals will be inducted into\nthe Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame at the banquet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under Mr. Rodriquez\u2019s leadership, the Indianapolis\nInternational Airport has been named \u201cBest Airport in North America\u201d for 11\nstraight years. His achievements include service on the Presidential Transition\nTeam and appointment three times to the U.S. Transportation Department Aviation\nConsumer Protection Advisory Committee. He is on the board of the Indianapolis\nChamber of Commerce, the Ivy Tech Community College Board of Trustees, and the\nIndiana Sports Corporation, and founder of the Hispanic Leadership Council. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The eight individuals to be inducted as the Class of 2023\nare: Maj. Gen. Boyd L. Ashcraft, USAFR\n(Ret.); Paul Baer, first WWI ace; Thomas\nQ. Carney, Ph.D., Purdue University; Robert A. Dun-can, former FAA Examiner and\nIndianapolis Airport director; Dave Gevers, \nEAA leader and aircraft de-signer; Matthew Hagens, pilot and aviation\nentrepreneur; Margaret Hamilton, NASA software engineer for Apollo missions;\nand Lewis A. Jackson, PhD, educator, Tuskegee trainer, and FAA Examiner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
