Collectively, these departments have\nresponsibility for the MAC\u2019s annual operating budget, financial planning,\nrevenue generation from airline and concession agreements, and administration\nof risk and insurance programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Porter has more than 25 years of experience in the\ntransportation industry. She currently serves as the chief operating officer of\nthe Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA), where she directs the operations\nof Minnesota\u2019s second largest public transit agency and is responsible for the\nagency\u2019s operating and capital budgets. She joined MVTA in 2005 and previously\nserved as director of transportation and operations manager. Prior to that, she\nworked in sales and operations at Carey Worldwide Chauffeured Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe MAC has an impressive commitment to excellence that\u2019s\nevident across all areas of the organization,\u201d said Porter. \u201cI look forward to\ncontributing my expertise to such a dynamic, collaborative team as we work in\npartnership to ensure the MAC\u2019s continued financial success.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Porter is a member of several industry associations\nincluding the International Facility Management Association, Risk Management\nSociety and American Public Transit Association.
