He currently serves as the Nebraska National\nGuard\u2019s Airborne Infantry First Sergeant. In the private sector, Borrell has\nworked for both Jet Linx Aviation and Great Lakes Airlines, with\nresponsibilities in fleet utilization coordination, customer service,\nlogistics, and managing regulation compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Scott Tarry, Associate Dean of UNO\u2019s College of Public\nAffairs and Community Service and member of NDOT\u2019s Aeronautics Commission, said\n\u201cI am looking forward to working with Jeremy. It is especially rewarding to see\nan alumnus of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute ascend\ninto this important leadership position. Jeremy\u2019s knowledge of aviation and\nmanufacturing as well as his experience in the Army National Guard will serve\nhim well in his new role. I know the Aeronautics Commission is eager to learn\nabout his plans for supporting the Nebraska aviation community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJeremy is uniquely qualified to lead the Division, having\nserved in a variety of positions that have provided a solid foundation of\nknowledge as to how aviation impacts Nebraska,\u201d said NDOT Director Vicki\nKramer. \u201cHe brings a wealth of knowledge of all stages and aspects of the\naviation industry to NDOT, as well as a proven track record of successful\nleadership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAviation is incredible,\u201d Borrell said, \u201cBecause it has\nwide-ranging impacts on our daily lives, connecting individuals and communities\nfrom the local to the international level.
