This RFI was created in
collaboration with two of its members, Duke Energy and Forsyth County Sheriff’s
Office. Both have active UAS programs in North Carolina.

With the ability to fly autonomously and securely,
drone-in-a-box solutions can enable organizations to respond quickly in remote
or hard-to-reach locations without risking the safety of personnel or waiting
for the drone and pilot to arrive. This can significantly improve the
efficiency and effectiveness of critical tasks such as inspecting
communications towers, highways, bridges, and buildings, ensuring the safe and
reliable operation of energy and utility infrastructure, and responding to
public safety incidents in a timely and effective manner.

“AeroX and our members are excited by the recent regulatory
approvals for BVLOS operations from a Drone-in-a-Box,” said AeroX President
Basil Yap. “We see tremendous potential for our partners, building on their
success in using drones for energy and utility inspection and public safety.”

AeroX will host an industry event on May 9-11, at their booth at AUVSI Xpo 2023, to answer industry questions and allow respondents to engage with Duke Energy and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
