The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the\nAssociation for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will co-host the\n8th Annual FAA Drone Symposium and the first-ever Advanced Air Mobility Summit\nthis summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two events, from Aug. 1-3 at the Baltimore Convention\nCenter in Maryland, will bring together representatives from the FAA, other\ngovernment agencies, international aviation experts, industry leaders and\nacademia. The presenters and panelists will discuss the latest information and\nadvancements related to the diverse uses of drones and the safe integration of\nAdvanced Air Mobility (AAM) aircraft, like air taxis, into the National\nAirspace System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s Drone Symposium theme is \u201cTime to Accelerate.\u201d\nSessions and workshops will focus on how the FAA continues to safely integrate\ndrones while creating a regulatory framework to accelerate advanced operations\nsuch as beyond visual line of sight and UAS Traffic Management (UTM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first-ever FAA AAM Summit theme is \u201cLeveraging the\nSkies.\u201d Sessions and workshops will focus on how air taxis and electric\nvertical take-off, and landing (eVTOL) aircraft will change the future of\naviation. FAA panelists and speakers will highlight the FAA\u2019s ongoing work to\nenable safe, efficient and secure operations that meet the high safety\nstandards the public expects and deserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
