Blue, who\ncurrently serves as Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating\nOfficer, will succeed Scott Brockman, whose retirement will be effective on\nDecember 31, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue joined MSCAA in 2015 and has more than 25 years of\naviation experience. He came to Memphis from Milwaukee Mitchell International\nAirport (MKE) where he worked for seven years as Deputy Airport Director and\nlater Interim Airport Director. He also worked for 10 years at Denver\nInternational Airport in a number of roles, including Aviation Operations\nManager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) by the\nAmerican Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and is also an AAAE Airport\nCertified Employee (A.C.E.) in both Operations and Security. Blue is a member\nof the AAAE Board of Directors and is a Past President of both the Southeast\nChapter of AAAE and of the Wisconsin Airport Management Association. He\ncurrently serves on the Board of Directors of Memphis Tourism and is a 2019\ngraduate of Leadership Memphis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue received a Master of Public Administration Degree from\nthe University of Illinois Springfield and received a bachelor\u2019s degree in\naviation management from Southern Illinois University. He is a licensed private\npilot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his tenure at MSCAA, Blue has overseen a number of\nsignificant projects for Memphis International Airport, including the\nmodernization of the B concourse, construction of MEM\u2019s new Mission Support\nCenter and the new Centralized Deicing Facility (CDF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe MSCAA board understands the importance of the role the\nAirport Authority CEO plays in the Memphis community,\u201d said Michael Keeney,\nChairman of the MSCAA Board of Commissioners. \u201cWe engaged in extensive\ndiscussion and utilized a third-party firm to evaluate potential candidates,\nand Terry Blue clearly emerged as the ideal person to lead the Airport\nAuthority. The board and our recruiting firm felt that he was the optimal\ncandidate based on his combination of overall aviation and airport management\nexperience, industry leadership, and his extensive familiarity with our\nairport\u2019s operations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the MSCAA Board, I also want to extend our\nsincere appreciation to Scott Brockman for his extraordinary leadership during\nhis tenure as President and CEO.
