{"id":25414,"date":"2023-04-24T17:46:52","date_gmt":"2023-04-24T17:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=25414"},"modified":"2023-04-24T17:46:54","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T17:46:54","slug":"bremerton-national-airport-to-host-wings-over-washington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/washington\/bremerton-national-airport-to-host-wings-over-washington\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Bremerton National Airport to Host WINGS OVER WASHINGTON"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Port of Bremerton has announced that the Bremerton\nNational Airport will be hosting the first air show in Bremerton in 30 years!\nPartnering with Freedom Fair, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, organizers will be\nshowcasing aerobatic displays with a military presence, a car show, armed\nforces displays, a variety of vendors, food options, a beer garden, and\nentertainment for the entire family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Port CEO Jim Rothlin stated that \u201cwe\u2019ve been looking for an\nair show opportunity for our airport for years. It\u2019s nice that we\u2019ve been able\nto partner with a company that has already had such great success at other\nairports in Washington and are looking forward to providing this opportunity\nfor our community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Port is looking forward to welcoming everyone to their community\nairport for a fun reactional activity. Some may remember the fly-ins they\u2019ve hosted\nin past years and while this event will be bigger, they are proud to say they will\nstill have the car show component as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to not only be providing a region-wide event,\nbut one with such a strong military focus,\u201d said Port Commissioner &amp;\nPresident Axel Strakeljahn. \u201cWe look forward to the public sharing in this\nevent at Bremerton National Airport.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Port of Bremerton, community is always the focus \u2013\nwhether it be generating economic development or promoting tourism, both of\nwhich will be accomplished by the air show. Organizers hope that those in the\ncommunity will join them in the excitement by staying tuned for ticket purchase\ninformation and following along on social media; both the Port of Bremerton and\nFreedom Fair producing Wings Over Washington will give first-hand information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President and CEO of the Freedom Fair, Tony La Stella,\nstates that \u201cour entire organization is thrilled to bring WINGS OVER WASHINGTON\nto the Bremerton and Kitsap communities. With 50+ years of experience, the\nFreedom Fair became one of the largest destination events in the country.
