The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission (NDAC) has released\nthe monthly report that provides information relating to the airline passenger\ntraffic at the eight commercial service airports within the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commercial airline boarding numbers for March 2023 reached\n101,146 passengers, representing an almost 4% increase from the same period\nlast year. These numbers also reflect the highest level of monthly airline\npassenger traffic seen in North Dakota over the last three years. Additionally,\nthe last time that North Dakota surpassed 100,000 passengers over a one-month\ntime period was in February 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
March is historically one of the busiest months for air\ntravel in North Dakota, and this year was no exception, showing a strong demand\nfor spring break travel. Five out of the eight commercial service airports had\nhigher passenger numbers than during the same time period last year. The Fargo\nHector International Airport also achieved a new monthly passenger record with\n48,032 passenger boardings in March 2023. This exceeds the previous monthly\nrecord of 46,021 passengers that was set in December 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are excited to see these recent passenger numbers,\nwhich demonstrate the continual resiliency and positive recovery in demand for\nair transportation services within North Dakota,” said Kyle Wanner,\nExecutive Director of the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission. “These\nfigures are also a great indicator for North Dakota’s economy, and we hope to\nsee this trend continue as summer travel plans begin to take hold.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
